Break the Drug Chain Now Punjab Cannot Wait Any Longer: Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal Bhukhri Kalan

Ludhiana, December 5, 2025: National BJP leader Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal Bhukhri Kalan said that today Punjab stands at a historic crossroads where the future of our youth and the soul of our state depend on the courage and clarity of our actions. He said that the fight against drugs is not merely a law and order issue but an emotional battle for every mother’s hopes every father’s dream and every child’s right to a safe future.

Talking with the media persons here today Grewal said that he bows his head with heartfelt respect heartfelt gratitude and deep trust to our Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah whose strong and visionary leadership has already given India a new direction of national security and internal stability. He said that Punjab looks towards the Government of India with renewed hope believing that under their guidance the drug menace can be defeated with the same determination with which terrorism and organised crime were crushed.

Grewal said that the first and most crucial step is complete control over the international borders to choke the entry of narcotics into Punjab. But he added with equal sincerity that once the borders are controlled the entire internal supply chain of drugs must be broken without delay without compromise and without mercy. He said that this requires immediate largescale raids across all known hotspots ruthless tracking of suppliers transporters financiers and storage operators and the freezing of all bank accounts and properties belonging to drug smugglers under NDPS and PMLA.

Grewal strongly appealed to the Government of India that a Special Narcotics Court should be established exclusively for drug related cases ensuring that each case is decided within ninety days. This will deliver a powerful message that the era of slow justice the era that allowed the mafia to grow fearlessly is now over forever.

He said with an honest and loving concern for the future of Punjab that another equally important step is breaking the poisonous nexus between the drug mafia and corrupt officials. Grewal said that Punjab urgently needs an Internal Clean Up Mission inside the police department. Any officer found involved in drug activity even indirectly should be immediately suspended booked under the NDPS Act and permanently removed from service because only a clean police force can fight the drug war with truth and honour.

He said that officers who have overstayed in one district must be transferred without exception so that local connections are disrupted and policing becomes neutral fearless and justice oriented.

Grewal said that this is not his personal appeal this is the collective cry of millions of Punjabis who want to see their land free from poison free from fear and full of hope again. He expressed full confidence that under the leadership of PM Modi and Amit Shah Punjab will rise stronger cleaner and safer and the dream of a Drug Free Punjab will soon become a reality.
