Deployed to keep a vigil alongside the nullah on night duty, teams immediately responded and commenced operations to plug the breach. Senior MC officials led the operation from the forefront and plugged the breach in a short period.

MC Commissioner Dr Shena Aggarwal along with other civic body officials also took stock of the situation.

Dr Aggarwal stated that the situation is under control. The MC is keeping a 24*7 vigil around buddha nullah and the breach was reported at around 10:30pm on Monday night. It was due to excessive flow of water from the upstream areas.

Banks of the nullah are also being strengthened. Over 200 employees remain deputed in the areas surrounding the nullah during night hours too.
