Tarn Taran April 22, 2026: Spearheading a mass movement against the growing menace of drugs, gangsterism, and the alleged political patronage being given to tainted elements in the Khadoor Sahib constituency, Shiromani Akali Dal Vice President and former MLA Ravinder Singh Brahmpura today offered historic prayers at Gurudwara Patshahi Panjvi, Sri Chohla Sahib, accompanied by a large gathering of devotees. Immediately following the prayers, Brahmpura announced the launch of an extensive village-to-village campaign to free the region from anti-social elements.
Interacting with the media and the congregation on this occasion, Brahmpura sent shockwaves through political circles without naming anyone directly. He categorically stated that the holy land, blessed by the footsteps of eight Sikh Gurus, can never be handed over to individuals whose backgrounds are rooted in heinous crimes and drug trafficking.
In an emotional appeal, he said, "Compromising Panthic principles and the future of our coming generations for the sake of political posts or chairs will never be tolerated. When political factions turn a blind eye to justice and start embracing tainted elements, the Khalsa is left with no recourse but to seek justice in the court of the Almighty."
He further stated that their fight is to ensure the strict enforcement of the 'Jagat Jot Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Satkar (Amendment) Act-2026' at the grassroots level and to save the youth of Punjab. While appreciating the historic decisions taken by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, he warned that justice for the Panth would remain incomplete without holding the past culprits accountable.
"...And let it be remembered, the silence of Khadoor Sahib today is not a sign of weakness, but the calm before a political storm that will uproot the foundations of many political strongholds," he asserted.
Brahmpura made it clear that the people of the constituency have now recognized the true faces of the forces causing the ruin of Punjab under a political umbrella. The massive turnout and the enthusiasm of the congregation proved that the people of the region stand like a rock with Brahmpura in this ideological battle.
Among others present on the occasion included Amrik Singh (Former Sarpanch, Chohla Sahib), Dr. Jatinder Singh, Dilbag Singh Kahlwan, Kanwardeep Singh Brahmpura, Dilbar Singh, Balbir Singh Balli, Sadha Singh Pradhan, and Gurdial Singh Secretary, along with a large number of local residents.
