Bowry Memorial Educational and Medical Trust conducted an Expert Talk on World Heart Day

Jalandhar, September 29, 2022: Bowry Memorial Educational and Medical Trust conducted an Expert Talk on the occasion of World Heart Day at Innocent Hearts Group of Institutions. The objective of the talk was to raise awareness about cardiovascular diseases. The resource person for the session was Dr. Vivek Rana, Cardiologist, at Innocent Hearts Multispeciality Hospital.

The session started with a welcome speech by Manpreet Kaur (Assistant Prof., School of Medical Science).

Dr. Vivek Rana acquainted the students with the causes, symptoms and treatment of cardiovascular diseases. He stated that an unhealthy lifestyle is the major cause of increased heart disease in India. We all must follow healthy dietary habits that control the level of sugar and cholesterol in the body and keeps the heart healthy. Dr. Rana also briefed about preventive measures which motivate the students to adopt the habit of regular exercise and meditation to reduce the stress level of the body.

Dr. Shailesh Tripathi(Group Director) presented a vote of thanks to Dr. Vivek Rana for sharing valuable information and his experience with students.
