Boom Motors signs MOU with Government of Tamil Nadu

Chennai, November 24, 2021: Boom Motors, the EV Company from Coimbatore signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Tamil Nadu to create 5000 jobs in the state  and expand their manufacturing unit in Coimbatore with the sanctioned sum of 1000 Crore over 5 years from the programme.
Commenting on this Mr. Anirudh Ravi Narayanan, Co-Founder and CEO, Boom Motors said-“EV space in the country is booming and Tamil Nadu as a state is very well positioned to be the EV capital in the country. There is great supplier base, great talent pool, and very supportive State Government that is proactively taking steps to encourage manufacturing. This is why so many EV OEMs are investing here. We see a lot of potential for growth and will look to increase our manufacturing capacity and developing more products at affordable prices for the consumers. We will also look at adding 5000 workforce in 5 years across the state. In addition, there will surely be at least 10,000 additional jobs generated for the state during this time period through our supply chain which is significantly within Tamil Nadu itself.”
