Jalandhar: Students Have been learning through online means for the last one year due to the ongoing COVID – 19 pandemic which is why they have increasingly become inclined towards using electronic gadgets in order to keep students connected to books the pre- primary wing of DIPS chain of institutions celebrated ‘ World Book Day ‘ by organizing ‘ Book mark making Activity’. Students Showcased their creativity by creating bookmark with images of animals, birds, smiles etc. Students placed the smilee bookmarks inside their books and also posted them on their pencils so that they smile when they open up their books or pick up their pencils. The principal and teachers actively encouraged all students virtually through video conferencing.

Tarwinder Singh , M.D. DIPS Chain mentioned that such activates are of prime importance so that students don’t get dissociated from books when online learning has become the norm. CAO Ramneek singh and Jashan singh said that books are our best friends  in these testing times which free us of our loneliness. Books should also be used as a source of recreation and entertainment.

C.E.O  Monika Mandotra mentioned that books help us in our search for new ideas and widen our knowledge base. Books are truly a treasure of heritage and culture. They are the window through channelized and so, should be an integral part of our lives.
