Chandigarh, January 23, 2026: A book release ceremony was organised today at the Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE), Panjab University, Chandigarh, to mark the launch of the international peer-reviewed edited volume titled Society and Education in Indian Context: Opportunities, Challenges and Implementation.
The book, edited by Dr. Anuradha Sekhri, Dr. Reena Chaudhary and Dr. Richa Aggarwal, was formally released by Prof. Rani Mehta, Department of Sociology, PU, and Ms. Amritpal Kaur, Chairperson, IETV, PU.
The publication brings together research-driven perspectives examining the evolving relationship between society and education, with particular emphasis on opportunities, challenges and implementation strategies within the Indian framework.
The programme concluded with an interactive discussion highlighting the importance of sustained research initiatives in strengthening the education system.
The book is available on Amazon and is expected to contribute meaningfully to academic discourse in the fields of education and social sciences.
