BMU, Rohtak Receives Approval to Launch Over Two Dozen New Job-Oriented and State-of-the-Art Courses

The Higher Education Department of the Haryana Government has granted approval (NOC) to Baba Mastnath University (BMU), Asthal Bohar, to conduct more than two dozen new job-oriented and state-of-the-art courses starting from the 2026-27 academic session. In the first phase, the admission process will begin for 17 of these new courses, providing students with quality, skill-based education aligned with new technologies, current industry requirements, and the global job market.

Rohtak, July 16, 2026: The Higher Education Department of the Haryana Government has granted approval (NOC) to Baba Mastnath University (BMU), Asthal Bohar, to conduct more than two dozen new job-oriented and state-of-the-art courses starting from the 2026-27 academic session. In the first phase, the admission process will begin for 17 of these new courses, providing students with quality, skill-based education aligned with new technologies, current industry requirements, and the global job market.

Sharing details, Chancellor Mahant Balaknath Yogi stated that this approval from the Haryana Government marks a significant milestone in the university's journey toward academic excellence, quality education, and the effective implementation of NEP-2020. He emphasized that the university's objective is not merely to award degrees but to groom competent, skilled, and capable youth who can successfully meet the demands of industries, research institutions, and both government and private sectors—both within the country and abroad.

He explained that, in accordance with the government's approval, three-year B.Voc. Engineering courses will be launched in Computer Science & Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Electronics & Communication Engineering, with an intake capacity of 40 students per branch. Additionally, 40 seats each have been sanctioned for three-year B.Voc. Management courses in Financial Services and Sales & Marketing. Approval has also been granted for a one-year PG Diploma course in Cyber Law with an intake of 50 students.

Mahant Balaknath Yogi further mentioned that several new diploma courses will be introduced in the fields of information technology and digital technologies, covering areas such as Web Designing & Development, Cyber Security, Data Science & Analytics, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning, Cloud Computing, Internet of Things (IoT), and Mobile App Development. Additionally, a B.Sc. in Forensic Science program will be launched to develop skilled human resources in the fields of crime investigation and scientific inquiry.

He stated that alongside technical education, significant courses such as Diploma in Psychology, Bachelor in Psychology, M.A. in Psychology, M.Sc. in Biochemistry, and M.Sc. in Public Health will be introduced, keeping in mind mental health, life sciences, and the evolving needs of society.

Mahant Balaknath Yogi noted that there is a steadily growing demand for experts in fields like Artificial Intelligence, cybersecurity, data science, machine learning, and cloud computing. By providing high-quality education in these areas, the university will prepare students for future challenges and global competition. Meanwhile, subjects such as psychology, public health, and forensic science will play a crucial role in addressing the current needs of society. He explained that all technical and vocational courses would be conducted in accordance with the guidelines of the AICTE and other relevant regulatory bodies. Full compliance with all prescribed standards will be ensured by obtaining approvals from the respective councils as required.

The Chancellor stated that Baba Mastnath University is committed to providing quality higher education to the daughters of the state. With this objective, a special scheme offering free education to female students across various university courses is being implemented.
