He further said that after the Pakistan sponsored terror attack in Pahalgam on April 22 2025 which brutally snatched innocent lives India responded with moral strength and principled resolve by suspending the Indus Waters Treaty on April 23 2025. This historic decision was not an act of revenge but an act of justice rooted in national interest and human dignity. As Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated with unmatched clarity blood and water cannot flow together and not a single drop of Indian water will be allowed to flow at the cost of Indian lives Indian security and Indian needs.

Grewal stated that the comprehensive review led by Home Minister Amit Shah along with the highest levels of the Government of India including the Prime Minister’s Office the Ministry of Home Affairs the Ministry of Jal Shakti and the Ministry of Power reflects that this is not mere rhetoric but a meticulously planned national mission.
