Blood Was Spilled, Now Water Is Seized, India Shuts the Tap, Pakistan Feels the Heat: Advocate Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal Bhukhri Kalan

Chandigarh, December 24, 2025: National BJP leader Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal Bhukhri Kalan said that with a heart full of pride gratitude and unwavering faith in the leadership of the Government of India he wishes to place on record his deepest appreciation for the visionary courageous and decisive leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

He said that the firm fearless and crystal clear message sent by Home Minister Amit Shah to Pakistan and to the entire world regarding India’s unshakeable will over the waters of Jammu and Kashmir marks a defining moment in India’s sovereign history. His decisive high level review of the Indus river system has decisively shattered every long standing myth every politically motivated narrative and every defeatist mindset that claimed India was helpless due to so called logistical geographical or international constraints.

Grewal told that for decades skeptics both outside and within our nation chose to count only hurdles and hesitations. They gravely underestimated the iron resolve of the Government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi which has time and again transformed the impossible into reality through courage clarity and conviction. The rivers Chenab Jhelum and Indus originating from Jammu and Kashmir continued for years to sustain Pakistan’s agrarian economy drinking water needs and hydropower ambitions under an arrangement that was profoundly unjust to India and psychologically diminished our rightful share as an upper riparian nation.

He further said that after the Pakistan sponsored terror attack in Pahalgam on April 22 2025 which brutally snatched innocent lives India responded with moral strength and principled resolve by suspending the Indus Waters Treaty on April 23 2025. This historic decision was not an act of revenge but an act of justice rooted in national interest and human dignity. As Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated with unmatched clarity blood and water cannot flow together and not a single drop of Indian water will be allowed to flow at the cost of Indian lives Indian security and Indian needs.

Grewal stated that the comprehensive review led by Home Minister Amit Shah along with the highest levels of the Government of India including the Prime Minister’s Office the Ministry of Home Affairs the Ministry of Jal Shakti and the Ministry of Power reflects that this is not mere rhetoric but a meticulously planned national mission. Short term mid term and long term strategies to retain divert store and utilize India’s waters for Indians are now being executed with precision and purpose. Canal networks strategic tunnels hydropower projects irrigation expansion and integrated national water planning are no longer distant promises but living realities taking shape on the ground.

He emphasized that this landmark step sends a powerful and resounding message to Pakistan and to the international community that decades of imbalance and injustice are being corrected with resolve responsibility and respect for international norms while firmly safeguarding India’s national interest. India will control its waters India will use its waters and India will never compromise on the security dignity and future of its people.

Grewal expressed his heartfelt sincere and respectful appreciation to Home Minister Amit Shah for his bold visionary and nation first leadership and to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for providing fearless guidance and moral strength to the nation. He said that under this decisive leadership India stands confident united and resolute fully prepared to protect its rights resources and resolve for generations to come.
