Blood donation camp organised by CGC Landran

Chandigarh, April 20, 2022: Students and faculty donated more than 250 units of blood at a blood donation camp organised by the Chandigarh College of Education, CGC Landran, in association with PGIMER Chandigarh and the Rotary Club Kharar.  The objective of the camp was to inculcate the spirit of selfless social service among students.

The camp was inaugurated by DSP Rupinder Deep Kaur Sohi, Head, Anti Corruption Action Line, Punjab in the presence of senior management, faculty and students of CGC Landran. Other dignitaries present on the occasion included Mr Yadwinder Singh Virk, Assistant Director Youth Affairs, Punjab State AIDS Control Society, Mr Kamaldeep Singh Tiwana, President, Rotary Club, Dr Manish Sanolia, Chairman, Rotary Club, among others. 

The blood donation drive is part of several events planned for a seven day NSS Camp being held in CGC Landran. ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav – Channelizing Youth in Nation Building’ is the overarching theme of this NSS camp.

Satnam Singh Sandhu, Chairman, CGC Landran and Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President, CGC Landran, applauded the blood donors who volunteered for this noble cause. They also thanked PGIMER Chandigarh and Rotary Club Kharar for their valuable support in the successful conduct of this event.
