Westland Books is thrilled to announce Blade of Fury by Bengaluru based entrepreneur and author, Ranjith Radhakrishnan. This is a blistering sequel of the mythological epic, Rama of the Axe.
The book from the series, The Epic Saga of Parashurama, opens with the dramatic conclusion of the first book and takes one deeper into the world of warrior sage Parshurama. The book was launched on 30th August 2025 at Orion Mall, Brigade, Bengaluru in the presence of Prakash Belawadi, actor, director and screenwriter, moderated by Monika Monalisa, an independent journalist.
Contributing richly to the growing genre of mythological fiction, Blade of Fury explores Parashurama’s philosophy, his spiritual path, and the life lessons embedded in his story. As chaos threatens Mahismati’s kingdom, the heir seeks dangerous and dark sorcery for his cause. Thus, Parshurama walks the path of Bramhakshatriya, the end to which must unlock the mystic secrets of the Parashu and the syllables of the kundalini.
Talking about the sequel, author Ranjith Radhakrishnan said, “In crafting ‘Blade Of Fury’, book 2 of the Epic Saga of Parashurama, I seek to address the popular misperception of him as just an angry avatara. We gaze at the shadow of popular opinion and miss the light of his true self.
This book is my attempt to bring forth Parashurama’s complexity: a profound spiritual philosopher, a bridge between the Vedic and Tantric traditions, and a masterful preceptor of martial arts. He is at once, a wrestler of the spirit and a poet of warcraft. His story is not his alone—it is deeply woven with the lives of his parents, Jamadagni and Renuka, whose own journeys add rich layers to this saga.
I hope readers find in this book a fresh perspective on a timeless legend. An avatara whose life and teachings are no less significant than those of Sri Krishna and Sri Rama.”
