Ludhiana, August 30, 2025: National BJP leader Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal Bhukhri Kalan said that the brutal killing of young Punjabi Sikh Gurpreet Singh in Los Angeles on July 13 by the Los Angeles Police Department is nothing short of a “cold-blooded murder of Human Rights.” He said this incident is shocking, shameful and exposes the naked hypocrisy of America, which falsely parades itself before the world as the so-called “protector of liberty and human rights.”

Grewal said that this was not policing, this was a barbaric public execution carried out on the streets of America. He said that instead of using non-lethal methods such as tasers or beanbag rounds, the Los Angeles Police Department officers deliberately fired lethal bullets, killing Gurpreet Singh on the spot. He asked bluntly, why was the life of a Sikh youth snatched away so casually? Why kill instead of saving? He said that this is a disgrace not only to America’s Constitution but also a black betrayal of basic humanity.

Grewal told that this murder is a permanent black spot on America’s so-called freedom and equality. He said the world is watching and no propaganda can hide the barbarity of this act. “The USA has mocked its own claims of liberty and justice. Its mask has fallen. Its tall talk of ‘human rights’ is nothing but hollow lies,” Grewal thundered.

He further said that when we look at the Punjab Police, our own force has always shown restraint, maturity, and humanity even in tense encounters. Grewal saluted the Punjab Police for protecting life wherever possible, and said that America must learn policing lessons from Punjab, not spray bullets like blood-thirsty cowards on the streets.

Grewal demanded immediate justice and punishment for the guilty Los Angeles Police Department officers and full compensation and dignity for Gurpreet Singh’s family. He warned that India cannot remain silent when its sons are murdered abroad under the shadow of injustice. He appealed that the Government of India must take this case at the highest urgency on behalf of the Sikh community and Bharat Mata.

Grewal declared that this barbaric killing is not just an assault on one Sikh youth, but an attack on human rights, Indian dignity, and the very idea of justice itself. Justice delayed is justice denied. America stands exposed before the world.
