Kamal Sharma, President, BJP (Punjab) alongwith others at the concluding ceremony of the ten-days cricket tournament organised at Shaheed Bhagat Singh State Technical Campus at Ferozepur on Tuesday.
Ferozepur, January 28, 2014: Kamal Sharma, President, BJP (Punjab) partake in wrapping up ceremony as Chief Guest in ten-days cricket tournament being organised at Shaheed Bhagat Singh State Technical Campus concluded today.
Jimmy Sandhu, District President, BJYM, who also played the role of the convener of this cricket tournament informed that BJYM is determined to evoke the youngsters against evils like drug addiction by encouraging them to participate in sports activities.
Talking about the tournament, the convener informed this correspondent, that sixteen teams participated in this tournament and Katoch Cricket Club Ferozepur emerged as winner. The winning team received Rs.11,000 in cash while the losing team in the final received Rs.5,000.
Kamal Sharma praised the initiative taken by BJYM and directed the youngsters to abstain from use of drug and to participate in this kind of sports activities.
