Chandigarh, May 13, 2026: Senior BJP leader, member of BJP's national council  and party’s co-incharge for Himachal Pradesh Sanjay Tandon on Wednesday hailed the Bharatiya Janata Party’s emphatic performance in the Haryana civic body elections as a clear endorsement of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision, leadership and unmatched connect with the people.
Reacting to the results in general and the near clean sweep in Panchkula, Tandon said the BJP’s victory in six out of seven urban local bodies in Haryana demonstrates that citizens across the country continue to repose immense faith in the policies, governance model and development agenda spearheaded by Prime Minister Modi.
“The Haryana civic poll verdict is yet another strong endorsement of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s aura, credibility and appeal among the masses. From national elections to local body polls, people are repeatedly choosing development, transparency and good governance under the BJP,” Tandon said.
He noted that the BJP secured impressive victories in key urban bodies, including the municipal corporations of Panchkula, Ambala and Sonipat, along with Rewari, Dharuhera and Sampla, thereby further strengthening the party’s hold in urban Haryana.
Tandon said the results reflect public confidence in the “double-engine government” led by Prime Minister Modi at the Centre and the BJP government in Haryana under Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini.
“The people have rejected negativity and divisive politics. They have voted decisively for stability, development-oriented governance and the BJP’s commitment towards improving civic infrastructure and urban services,” he said.
Congratulating party workers and elected representatives, Tandon especially lauded the performance of BJP candidates in Panchkula, where the party registered a dominant showing in both mayoral and ward elections.
He further said that the BJP’s consistent electoral success across states and civic bodies reflects the growing acceptance of Prime Minister Modi’s policies focused on welfare, infrastructure development, corruption-free administration and empowerment of every section of society.
Tandon expressed confidence that the newly elected BJP representatives would work with dedication and accountability to fulfil the aspirations of the people and accelerate urban development across Haryana.
