Rohtak, October 10, 2026: BJP Haryana president Dr Archana Gupta on Saturday led a march of thousands of party workers from the Rangshala complex to the Congress Bhawan in Rohtak, where protesters staged a demonstration and symbolic sit-in against the Congress and Aam Aadmi Party-backed CJP.
Addressing the gathering, Dr Gupta accused the Congress-led INDIA bloc and CJP of spreading confusion over the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls and attempting to undermine democratic institutions. She alleged that opposition parties, unable to accept electoral defeats, were trying to create instability instead of respecting the people’s mandate.
BJP Haryana Chief said the BJP would counter what she described as attempts to mislead the public and weaken democratic institutions. She credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership with strengthening the country’s internal security and enhancing India’s standing internationally.
In a separate attack, She questioned Rahul Gandhi’s silence over the alleged sexual harassment of 11 female students at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) and the reported dismissal of Congress MP and professor Dr Angomcha Bimol Akoijam in connection with the matter.
She also asked Sonia Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi to clarify their stand, alleging that the Congress’s advocacy of women’s rights lacked consistency. Gupta said the party must state whether it stood with the students or was defending its MP amid the allegations.
The protest was attended by women public representatives and a large number of BJP women workers, who joined the march to the Congress office.
