BJP President Arun Sood meets representatives of societies regarding notices sent by Pollution Control Committee

Chandigarh, November 26, 2021: On behalf of the Chandigarh Pollution Control Committee, the representatives of four group housing societies of the city, led by BJP District President Rajinder Sharma and Councilor Heera Negi, met State BJP President Arun Sood  regarding the alleged irregularities in the disposal of wet and dry waste in the city on the last day. Met in the office 'Kamalam'. Anil Namdhari, SK Sharma, Neelam Kumar, Vijay Kumar Bali, Ramesh Kaul from the societies, who came to meet the state president Arun Sood, told that about one quintal of wet waste is generated daily in their societies. There is no place for them to execute this garbage disposal. He has been given a notice by the Pollution Control Committee. There is no such place inside their societies or any place where compost plant should be set up for wet waste. Therefore, he demanded a solution to this problem from the state president Arun Sood. During the meeting, Arun Sood spoke to Administrator's advisor Dharampal over phone and assured to install portable machines from MP LADS fund in January next year. He said that soon he would take the people of the societies along with the higher officials of the administration and get the issue resolved. During the meeting, Mayor Ravi Kant Sharma spoke to Municipal Commissioner Anindita Mitra on the phone about the notices sent to the representatives of these societies. Mayor Ravi Kant Sharma talked to the commissioner to give time till January next year regarding the notices given to these societies. Mayor Ravi Kant Sharma told that Commissioner Anindita Mitra told that she is out of the city right now and will discuss the matter by meeting on Monday next week to find a solution. BJP State President Arun Sood assured the representatives of these societies to get their problem resolved at the earliest.
