BJP May Attempt to Delete Votes of AAP Supporters During SIR; Every Volunteer Must Remain Vigilant: CM Bhagwant Singh Mann
Sangrur, June 26, 2026: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Friday called upon Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) volunteers to remain vigilant during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, pointing out that the BJP could attempt to delete the votes of AAP supporters to influence the outcome of future elections. The Chief Minister also highlighted the AAP Government’s pro-people initiatives, asserting that these measures have significantly improved the lives of people across the state. He urged party karyakartas to strengthen the organisation at the grassroots level and expressed confidence that the AAP would return to power with an overwhelming mandate in the 2027 Punjab Assembly elections.
Addressing the gathering, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said that the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls has commenced in Punjab from June 25, making the responsibility of every party volunteer even more crucial. He said that through the SIR process, the BJP may attempt to delete the votes of AAP supporters to capture power in the upcoming elections in the state. “This has become the standard operating procedure of the BJP to win elections. Every volunteer must remain vigilant and ensure that not a single genuine vote is deleted,” said CM Bhagwant Singh Mann.
