BJP workers raised slogans against Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and the Aam Aadmi Party, strongly expressing their opposition. Hundreds of BJP workers participated in the protest under the leadership of District President Rajnish Dhiman.
He alleged that Bhagwant Mann and AAP leaders have been misleading the people of Punjab for the last four years through false promises, fake cases, illegal, and exploitation of women, but now their reality has been exposed before the public.
During the protest, several victims shared their grievances. A few months ago, Vashu Chopra lost his life in a firing incident at Bath Castle, and his family is still seeking justice. Family member Parul Malhotra stated that the entire city is aware of the incident, yet no arrests have been made so far.
Neha Kapilesh Bansal also shared her ordeal, stating that a minor argument in the market led to her husband being falsely booked under Section 307, which is completely unjust.
A playway school teacher and AAP Block President Kuldeep Kaur alleged that the Mayor’s husband, Lucky, harassed her by sending inappropriate messages and making objectionable comments. She claimed that despite informing the Mayor and party leaders, no action was taken. Even after approaching the police, she did not receive justice.
During the protest, Mahagujot Singh, grandson of Raagi Harbans Singh, also shared his grievances over the phone.
Punjab BJP Vice President Keval Singh Dhillon said that a government which cannot stop atrocities against its own workers and ensure their safety cannot guarantee the safety of common citizens. He added that the law and order situation in Punjab is in a very poor state, and people are feeling insecure.
Several senior BJP leaders, members of Mahila Morcha, Yuva Morcha, and hundreds of party workers were present during the protest.
