BJP government should clarify its stand on Kanga Ranaut’s statement on freedom of India: CPI

Ludhiana, November 12, 2021: The Communist Party of India, District Ludhiana has demanded from the government to clarify its stand on Kangna Ranaut statement that India’s freedom was “Bheekh”. It is unfortunate that the Prime Minister has not uttered a single word on this till now. His silence smacks of his agreement with her statement. The issue is important because Kangna has been awarded Padam Shree. Her statement is a cruel joke over the sacrifices by Shaheed Bhagat Singh and thousands others who fought for the freedom.
The party demanded immediate withdrawal of Padam Shree and other awards if any and arrest her on the charges of insult to the martyrs of the freedom movement. The statement was issued by Comrades D P Maur – Distt. Secretary, Dr Arun Mitra, Chamkaru Singh, M S Bhatia and Ramesh Rattan.
