BJP Government in HP total failure, done nothing for public: Bali
Dharamshala, December 8, 2019: Ex-Minister and the senior Congress leader of Himachal GS Bali have asked the Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur to clarify in the winter session of the HP Assembly that what he has given to Dharamshala after the bi-election win by BJP in the city seat recently. Taking to media in Dharamshala on Sunday, Bali mentioned that the CM promised in his pre-poll speech in the city to provide bigger developmental gift if BJP was made victorious here. He said that the CM should clarify the government’s initiatives on the issues like unemployment and drugs menace and what steps the government has taken in tourism sector. He said that that the Gaggal Airport of Dharamshala has not been expanded an inch after Congress rule. “Jai Ram government must come out with a road map of its expansion”, he said. The present government should immediately work towards the expansion of this most busy airstrip of the state so that bigger planes could land here to boost tourism. “During our time we made Tanda Medical College, Medical College at Chamba, Hamirpur and Sirmour and given Rs.280 crore to each college. ESI Medical Hospital Mandi was taken over, IIM in Sirmour, hydro engineering college and three more engineering colleges started in the state. IIIT classes were started in Hamirpur. Rs.50 crore Institute of Plastic Specialization was started in Baddi. And many poly technical collages were started during Congress rule”, said Bali. He asked BJP government that what they have given so far to the public. He said that the investors’ meet organised here in November was turned to be a meal festival, where the investors enjoyed ‘Kangri dham’ (Special Kangra food), and left away and the state got nothing. “If any project was cleared in it, than the government should tell the public with figures and facts”, said Bali. CM should also explain about the expenditure they met with this meet. He said that the meet was organised without basic preparation. “The government should have created infrastructures before calling the investors in this meet”, he added. He said that the unemployment figure is alarmingly being raised daily, and nothing being done for them and instead the present state government wasted crores of rupees on this meet. He said that Cement, which is a state product, is being sold on higher price than neighbouring states, the electricity terrify been increased. He said that government should release the data about the budgeted amount of Rs.150 crore, the fund sanctioned as unemployment fund during congress government. When asked about the action on those Congressmen who worked against the party in bi-elections, he said that the process is on and no one shall be spared. The winter session of HP assembly is starting here on Monday.
