Bittu holds high-level review meeting on Halwara International Airport
Union Minister of State for Railways & Food Processing Industries Ravneet Singh Bittu on Monday, convened a high-level meeting with officials from the Airports Authority of India (AAI) and the Ministry of Civil Aviation to review the progress and operational status of the Halwara International Airport.

Ludhiana, September 22, 2025: Union Minister of State for Railways & Food Processing Industries Ravneet Singh Bittu on Monday, convened a high-level meeting with officials from the Airports Authority of India (AAI) and the Ministry of Civil Aviation to review the progress and operational status of the Halwara International Airport.
During the meeting, officials provided a detailed overview of the current developments and pending works. Bittu said, “I emphasized the importance of adhering to the proposed timelines and urged the teams to expedite the completion of all remaining tasks.”
Adding, Bittu said once completed, the Halwara International Airport will be a true jewel in the crown. Adding, “With Ludhiana’s strategic central location, the airport will serve as a vital gateway — a jewel at the heart of Punjab, significantly enhancing regional connectivity and economic growth.”
