Chandigarh, April 7, 2022: Birth Day of noted Urdu poet Jigar Moradabadi was celebrated here last evening by the Department of Urdu (PU).
Dr Ali Abbas, Coordinator of the Urdu Department, while addressing the students spoke at length about the various aspects of Jigar's personality and his memorable ghazals. "Jigar loved bacchus, glamour and beautiful but appropriate words and indulged in the coinage of marvelous compositions having ever lasting impact. He, infact, enriched the glorious traditions of ghazals in Urdu literature."
Dr. Ali added a colorful cultural programme based Jigar's compositions was presented by students of various classes of the Urdu Department.
