Bikram Majithia asks Bittu to explain his one day drama at toll plaza
Ludhiana, March 11, 2019: Former Punjab minister Bikram Singh Majithia today asked Bittu to explain why he did a one day drama at a local toll plaza. He said Bittu told residents that no toll would be charged at the plaza henceforth but the very next day toll was charged as usual. “This kind of cheap politics is deplorable”, he added. Addressing a huge gathering of youth here, the SAD General Secretary (Incharge, Youth) Majithia said the people should take ‘hisab’ from the Congress for failing to implement any of the promises made to them. “Be it complete loan waiver due to which 919 farmers committed suicide or ghar ghar naukari and unemployment allowance to youth nothing has been implemented. You need to give a jolt to the Congress party and teach it a lesson in the forthcoming parliamentary elections”, he added. The Akali leader also highlighted how the Congress government was charging Rs.12,000 crore more from the people in the form of enhanced power bills. He said industrialists, who were promised power at Rs five per unit, were now being charged Rs 10 per unit. He also highlighted how those who were protesting democratically in favour of their rights were being repressed. “It seems there is no government in Punjab. The government exists only for Congress workers who are indulging in jungle raj”, he added. Youth leaders present on the occasion included YAD zone incharge Gurpreet Singh Rajukhanna, Barjinder Lopo, Prabhjot Dhaliwal and Meetpal Dugri.
