Bikers rally being flagged off at Chitkara University. 

Set out to spread awareness to save, educate, protect & respect girl child
Chandigarh, April 11, 2015: In an attempt to spread more awareness to save the Girl child & educate, protect and respect girls, the alumni of Chitkara University, who are also part of the Royal Thunderers’ Club, set out on route : Kashmir to Kanyakumari covering a total distance of 4100 kilometers.
Harkaran Singh , Chitkara University’s alumni, from ME 2004 - 2008 batch and Nikhil Marwaha from ECE 2005 –2009 batch, planned to take up this bikers rally for the noble cause. The team comprising seven riders will spread awareness among the masses from Kashmir to Kanyakumari to save–educate-protect-respect the girl child.
The team today visited Chitkara University, Campus, before setting off on their journey. They were welcomed by Dr. Madhu Chitkara, Vice-Chancellor, Chitkara University, and the faculty.  She also interacted with the riders as they stated how they plan to promote the campaign while biking from Kashmir to Kanyakumari. On the occasion a blood donation camp was also organised in the University Campus. 
The final flag off the rally was done by Dr. Madhu Chitkara, as she wished the riders a safe and happy journey and handed over souvenirs to the entire team.   Route from Jammu-Chandigarh-Rajasthan -Pune - Bangalore-Kanyakumari and will be covering a total of 4100kms.
