Bihar CM, Nitin Nabin hold roadshow for NDA candidate in Bankipur

Patna, July 27 (IANS) Campaigning for the Bankipur Assembly by-election intensified on Monday as Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National President Nitin Nabin led a grand roadshow in support of NDA candidate Neeraj Kumar Sinha.

The leaders appealed to voters to back the NDA nominee and strengthen the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. A large number of BJP workers and supporters participated in the roadshow, which passed through key areas of the constituency. Party supporters raised slogans and welcomed the leaders at various points along the route.

Addressing the gathering after the roadshow, Nitin Nabin expressed confidence in the BJP’s prospects, stating that the massive turnout on the streets of Bankipur reflected strong public support for the NDA and assured a decisive victory for the party in the by-election.

Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary also described the public response as overwhelming. He said the large turnout on the streets of Bankipur demonstrated people’s faith in development-oriented politics, good governance and national interest.

“A clear message has been sent from the soil of Bankipur, echoing the public support seen in West Bengal, that the people’s trust lies with politics centred on development, good governance and national interest,” Chaudhary said.

He further claimed that the enthusiasm witnessed during the roadshow indicated strong support for the NDA candidate. “A unique spectacle of enthusiasm, faith and immense affection from the people is visible today during this historic roadshow alongside BJP National President Nitin Nabin. A saffron-hued Patna, the blooming lotus and the zeal of thousands clearly indicate that on July 30, NDA candidate Neeraj Kumar Sinha will receive an overwhelming mandate in the Bankipur Assembly constituency,” he added.

Earlier on Monday, Samrat Chaudhary announced several development initiatives under the Bihar State Milk Co-operative Federation (COMFED) worth approximately Rs 26 crore in Nalanda.

He said that goat rearers would soon be integrated with COMFED through the Jeevika programme, enabling milk procurement from them and increasing the incomes of rural households.

The Chief Minister also inaugurated a 20,000-litre-per-day (LPD) curd and lassi plant, constructed at a cost of about Rs 20 crore, along with a COMFED-operated HPCL petrol pump and a Sudha Cafeteria.

He said these projects are aimed at strengthening dairy infrastructure and expanding value-added milk processing facilities.

During the event, Chaudhary also handed over Green Allowance assistance to the Pashu Aahar (Cattle Feed) Lift and Transportation Group and presented the keys of a deep freezer to Jeevika member Tanuja Devi, highlighting the government’s efforts to strengthen rural livelihoods and the dairy sector.
