Bharat Bhushan Ashu thanks Education Minister for upgrading 4 govt schools in Ludhiana (West) constituency

Ludhiana, December 22, 2021: Punjab Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu today thanked Education Minister Pargat Singh for upgrading 4 government schools in Ludhiana (West) constituency. He assured that the Charanjit Singh Channi-led Punjab government is committed for providing best education to its children.

In a press statement issued here today, Bharat Bhushan Ashu informed that Government Middle School in Housing Board Colony has been upgraded as Government High School (GHS), while other 3 namely GHS Haibowal Kalan, GHS Sunet and GHS Barewal Awana have been upgraded as Government Senior Secondary Schools.

Ashu said that it was due to the constant efforts in the field of education that Punjab topped the national performance grading index of school education for 2019-20 among all the states and union territories as released by the Union government.

The Cabinet Minister stated that under the Ludhiana Smart City Ltd project, smart classes have been developed in all 137 schools located within the Municipal Corporation Ludhiana limits. 

He also urged the NGO’s and corporate houses to come forward and adopt the government schools so that our education sector gets strengthened. He said that there is a huge potential in Ludhiana city as corporate houses can contribute large amounts for this cause under their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activity. 

He assured that all possible help would be provided to all government schools in future as well.
