Jalandhar, May 30, 2025: In a significant development underscoring the importance of discipline and national service, Colonel Vinod Joshi, Commanding Officer of the Two Punjab NCC Battalion, Jalandhar, conducted a surprise inspection of the ongoing NCC cadet recruitment process at the School of Eminence, Tanda.
 
The inspection, held as part of the 2025 NCC cadet enrollment drive, witnessed enthusiastic participation from students. During his visit, Colonel Joshi addressed the gathering and highlighted the multifaceted benefits of joining the National Cadet Corps, including grace marks in higher education, personality development, leadership training, and preferential opportunities in the Indian Armed Forces.
 
Motivating students with a spirit of patriotism, Colonel Joshi urged them to consider a future in the Indian defence services, emphasizing the honour and responsibility of serving the nation. He also shed light on the significant role played by the Indian Defence Forces and the NCC in the recent humanitarian mission, 'Operation Sindoor'.
 
In a gesture of mutual respect, Principal Rajesh Kumar honoured Colonel Vinod Joshi with a memento, acknowledging his leadership and commitment. In return, Colonel Joshi presented a memento to Principal Rajesh Kumar on behalf of the battalion, appreciating the school's active role in fostering the NCC spirit among students.
 
Associate NCC Officer Vipul Singh provided a detailed overview of the various NCC activities being undertaken at the school, receiving commendation from Colonel Joshi, who expressed satisfaction over the robust NCC culture being nurtured within the institution.
 
The event was attended by school staff, NCC officials, and an enthusiastic student body, marking a memorable chapter in the school’s commitment to nation-building through youth empowerment.
