- The first prize is of Rs. 25,000 (Male & Female both), second prize is Rs. 11,000 (Male & Female both), third prize is Rs. 5,100 (Male & Female both).
- Participants from Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Haryana and other states will run for the charity at the half marathon

Jalandhar, March 7, 2018: After the incessant success of CT Half Marathon where everyone from sports persons to senior citizens to Olympians, artists, players and also physically challenged persons joined for the noble cause, CT Group of Institutions is once again geared up for its upcoming Race for Charity as ‘11th CT Half Marathon 2018.’

This year, the race for charity will be held on March 11 from CT Shahpur Campus to CT Maqsudan Campus (distance of 21.6 Kms). - Participants from Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Haryana and other states will run for the charity at the half marathon.

The major attraction of the event will be the flag off ceremony by Renowned British Actress Pippa Hughes, 101 year old World Record Holder athlete Mann Kaur and celebrated Punjabi Singer Gurnazar from CT Shahpur Campus. The other major attraction will remain the celebrities including Bura Purewal, Mangi Magal, Youngveer, Navjeet, and comedian Umang Sharma who will join at CT Maqsudan Campus and will mesmerize the audience with their performances.

Giving information, Mr. Manbir Singh, Managing Director, CT Group of Institutions said, “CT Half Marathon is the prestigious event which aims to raise funds for the deprived members of society from last nine years. The event has been successful throughout. This year as well we are working on the same grounds to continue this wonderful journey. During previous years, we had Ace Athlete S. Milkha Singh, Legendary Singer Gurdas Maan, Bollywood Actress Neha Dhupia, Renowned Singer Jazzy B, Indian Centenarian Marathon runner Fauja Singh and various other famous celebrities those who not only graced the event with presence but also flagged off the marathon, made their presence felt by taking part in the running spree. The raised funds will be donated to Prayas School, Pingalwara and Red Cross Society.”

S. Charanjit Singh Channi, Chairman, CT Group of Institutions said that, it is one of the largest marathons organized by any educational institution across Punjab with the participation of people from all walks of life including celebrities, sports personalities, business tycoons and amateur athletes who participate in this event. “Everyone should come up and be part of this race to encourage the message to support the physically challenged persons”, he further appealed.

Adding the other attraction of the event is huge sum of Cash prize for the winners. The first prize is of Rs. 25,000 (Male & Female both), second prize is Rs. 11000 (Male & Female both), third prize is Rs. 5,100 (Male & Female both) and 7 consolation prizes of Rs. 2100. There will be a special 100 m race for the students of ‘Prayas’ at CT Maqsudan Campus.

There will be First Aid and other medical assistance for the runners by the students and staff members of CT Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (CTIPS) and doctors from renowned hospitals would also register their presence.
