Jalandhar/Kapurthala, November 3, 2023: It is the primary duty of all to become a partner for the elimination of corruption from the country, because a corruption-free India is everyone's dream and to fulfill this dream, the participation of everyone is very important. Be a participant of India against corruption.

This is the message delivered by Dr. Susheel Mittal, Vice-Chancellor, I.K.Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKGPTU). He shared this message with the students, faculty, officials and the audience from different sections during the seminar organized under "Vigilance Awareness Week" at the university main campus. SSP, Vigilance Bureau, Jalandhar Range Rajeshwar Singh Sidhu joined this seminar as special guest cum expert speaker. The program was started by lighting the lamp along with the university staff.

Addressing the seminar, SSP Vigilance Rajeshwar Singh Sidhu said that taking bribe and giving bribe are both crimes. Eradicating it from the roots is not only the responsibility of the government, but it is the joint responsibility of the society, the youth generation, including the educational institutions. He appreciated the NSS department of the university for conducting a seminar under Vigilance Awareness Week.

In the seminar, SDM Kapurthala Lal Biswas, DSP Niranjan Singh, DSP Manpreet Kaur, social expert Prof. Asa Singh and district Kapurthala and Jalandhar police administration officials also participated in a dignified manner.

University Dean Student Welfare Dr. Gaurav Bhargava gave a welcome message on this occasion in which he informed the students about the Vigilance Bureau and shared information about Vigilance Awareness Week 2023 being celebrated across the country. On this occasion, Dean R&D Dr. Hitesh Sharma welcomed the guests in the seminar by giving them a bouquet.

University registrar Dr. S.K Misra also encouraged the university staff to conduct such awareness seminars continuously. He said that with this the morale of students and employees increases, and they get motivation to stay away from social evils.

NSS Coordinator Dr. Chander Parkash thanked all the officials, employees and students along with the guests for joining the program. Assistant Professor Dr. Sarabjit Singh Mann conducted the stage during the event.
