BD Arya College organised tree plantation drive 

Jalandhar: B.D.Arya College, Jalandhar Cantt., organised a tree plantation drive during the nutrition month on the theme “ Poshan ke liye Paudhe” under the aegis of NSS unit, wherein International Basketball player and Chief Coach of Punjab Basketball Team, Inspector Gurkirpal Singh Dhillon along with principal Dr. (Mrs.) Sarita Verma and the incharges – Ms.Nupur Chopra, Ms.Mandeep Kaur and Dr.Meenu Nanda planted the saplings. On this occasion, principal Dr.Sarita Verma stressed that nutrition plays an important role in the overall development of an individual, so she urged the college students to plant more trees to deal with nutritional deficiencies for improving immunity in the times like COVID-19 pandemic, as mental and intellectual development is dependent on the kind of food we consume ( “Yatha Annam Tatha Mannam” ).
