Ludhiana, August 28, 2025: “The saying ‘While Rome was burning, Nero was playing the flute’ fits perfectly on our beloved Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.” These words were expressed today by senior Congress leader Krishan Kumar Bawa, Coordinator All India Congress (OBC), and In-charge Himachal Pradesh, through a written statement.

Bawa said that Punjab is drowning, while the Chief Minister is in another state, Tamil Nadu, eating idli and dosa. This shows how seriously the Chief Minister is working for the people of Punjab.

He further said that before the monsoon, the government did not make any concrete arrangements for the people of the state, due to which the public is facing severe hardships. Now villages are being ruined. By handing over the Punjab government’s helicopter to the people for just a few hours, he is trying to project himself as a well-wisher of Punjab.

Bawa stated that a true leader is one with a large heart, one who stands by his words and actions, one whose heart carries truth, simplicity, humility, and compassion. A leader is someone who embraces everyone, who considers people’s pain as his own pain, and does not make fun of it.
