Bathinda people witnessed Telugu flavor on 8th day of Natyam Theater festival,

Bathinda, October 8, 2021: The team from southern state Telangana, presented its folk colors by staging a tale of Alli Rani from Mahabharata, on the 8th day of the ongoing 15-day theater festival being organized by Natyam Bathinda at Balwant Gargi Open Air Theatre. Showing the rich culture of Southern India, the play Allirani Yallammaadhi Jambhvathu, written by Sri Lakshmi Narasimha and directed by P Chandramouli, was presented by the team of Swamy Natya Kalamandal. It was the first experience of Bathinda people to witness a Telugu drama which they enjoyed a lot. In the story, king Arjun and Shri Krishna reached a place in South India, where a martial arts expert strong lady Alli Rani was the queen. Arjuna wish to marry her and in the end, he succeeded.
Chairman of Natyam Dr. Kashish Gupta and Director Kirti Kripal told that on the 8th day of the festival, Mayor of Bathinda Municipal Corporation Raman Goyal, Gurpreet Singh Maluka former Chairman Zila Parishad, Ravindra Sharma from North Zone Cultural Center Patiala, and Congress leader Sandeep Goyal lightened lamp to commence the evening. Mayor Raman Goyal congratulated everyone on the auspicious occasion of Agrasen Jayanti, and also forwarded her good wishes to the drama festival. Team Natyam raised a request to name the upcoming Bathinda’s auditorium as Balwant Gargi Auditorium and the road linked to that as Tony Batish Marg.
