Bansal elected President of PAU Retirees' Welfare Association for life time

Ludhiana, November 10, 2021: Today a general body meeting of the PAU Retirees' Welfare Association was held in Students Home under the presidentship of Jila Ram Bansal. Election of the presidentship of the Association was held. Satish Goswami Election Incharge conducted the election. None other than Sh. Jila Ram Bansal filed nomination. Considering the hard working, dedication and honesty towards the association of Jila Ram Bansal, he was unanimously elected life time President of the PAU Retirees' Welfare Association. Bansal is already holding this post since 2013 when this association was formed. Since then he has been elected unanimously President for four terms of two years. He got sanctioned and released Rs 20 crore rupees grant from the Punjab Government during the Akali Govt. and got very long pending arrears cleared. Now with his efforts, medical reimbursement bills are got cleared within three weeks and the cheques are directly deposited in the concerned accounts. It goes to his credit that the delay of time for the payment of pension has been curtailed to great extent. He has played a vital role in the expansion of PAU State Bank of India branch and also in opening the E-lobby outside the bank. With his efforts, the payment of Leave Travelling Allowance is being made in time. Sh. Bansal while addressing the gathering has told that soon we will try to meet the Chief Minister of Punjab regarding the genuine pending issues i.e. junior/senior cases, master scales, payment of pension on Punjab Government pattern, creation of a high power legal cell to settle court cases, PAU hospital upgradation - opening of Ayurveda and homoeopathic dispensaries, payment of grant for pension directly to State Bank of India. Mr. Satish Sood General Secretary conducted the stage efficiently. In the meeting the Assistant General Manager Sh. Umesh Kumar of State Bank of India and other staff members were also invited to brief the schemes of the bank for the benefit of the senior citizens. Prominently Jaswant Singh, Jasbir Singh, Anup Singh, Nitya Nand, Inderjeet Singh, Avinash Sharma, SS Sharma, Ajit Singh Cheema, Gurmukh Singh, Labh Singh, Charanjit Singh Grewal, Ram Saran Arora, Narinderpal Singh, Iqbal Singh Lali, Muni Lal, Kailash Chander, Roop Lal,  Birbal, MR Passi,  Jagtar  Singh, KC Saluja, Jagga Singh were also present.
