Bank of India Secures Third Prize under Rajbhasha Kirti Puraskar 2025-26
Bank of India has been conferred the Third Prize under the prestigious “Rajbhasha Kirti Puraskar” for the financial year 2025-26 by the Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India.

Navi Mumbai, September 15, 2026: Bank of India has been conferred the Third Prize under the prestigious “Rajbhasha Kirti Puraskar” for the financial year 2025-26 by the Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. The award has been presented in recognition of the Bank’s effective implementation and significant progress in the use of Hindi as the Official Language, under the category of Nationalised Banks/Financial Institutions having more than 800 employees.
The prestigious award was received by Rajiv Mishra, Executive Director, Bank of India; Abhijit Bose, Chief General Manager and Mou Maitra, Head of Rajbhasha, from Minister of State for Home Affairs, Government of India, Nityanand Rai, during the 6th All India Rajbhasha Conference and Hindi Diwas Samaroh 2026, held in Navi Mumbai on September 14 and 15, 2026.
Bank of India has been continuously undertaking various innovative initiatives and programmes for the effective use, promotion and propagation of Hindi as the Official Language, increasing the use of Hindi in banking operations and creating greater awareness and interest in Hindi among its employees. The national-level recognition received for these sustained efforts is a significant achievement for the Bank.
On this occasion, Rajiv Mishra, Executive Director; Abhijit Bose, Chief General Manager; Amit Singh, General Manager and the Rajbhasha Department team expressed their happiness over this achievement. They stated that the award is a reflection of the collective efforts, commitment and sustained hard work of more than 50,000 employees of the Bank and will further inspire the Bank to promote and enhance the use of Hindi in its official functioning.
The Rajbhasha Department of Bank of India expressed its gratitude to the Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, for this prestigious recognition and reiterated its commitment to further intensify its efforts towards the effective implementation of the Official Language policy and the wider promotion and use of Hindi.
