Ludhiana, April 20, 2026: A dynamic teacher training session under the Bal Sansad initiative was successfully conducted, reinforcing the commitment to nurture leadership, democratic engagement, and civic responsibility among students.
The inaugural ceremony was graced by eminent dignitaries: Himanshu Jain, Deputy Commissioner; Payal Goyal, Assistant Commissioner (General); Dimple Madan, District Education Officer; and Amandeep Singh, Deputy District Education Officer, who shared valuable insights on its importance. The initiative, actively driven and strengthened through the guidance of Mr. Ambar Bandopadhyay, empowers students to elect representatives, deliberate on critical issues, and actively participate in school governance, thereby strengthening democratic values at the grassroots level within the education system.
The session witnessed enthusiastic participation from teachers, who engaged in a series of interactive and experiential activities aimed at building a practical understanding of student-led governance. The training provided actionable insights on effectively implementing Bal Sansad frameworks in schools.
The session, conducted in collaboration with the Wings of Wisdom Foundation, marks a significant step towards empowering educators to foster participative learning environments and instill democratic values among students, further strengthening school ecosystems through innovative practices.
