Bajwa paid tributes to former minister Master Gurbanta Singh

Jalandhar, February 5, 2014: Partap Singh Bajwa, President, Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) today paid rich tributes to former Congress Minister Master Gurbata Singh on his 34th death anniversary here.
Bajwa said that Master Gurbanta Singh was a role model for the political class and people of Punjab and he is remembered as an honest and straight forward Congress leader. He said that Master Gurbanta Singh was cabinet minister in the ministry of late Partap Singh Kairon from 1956 to 1964 and again in Giani Zail Singh's Ministry from 1972 and 1977. Beside his political life, Master Gurbanta Singh was a great educationist, social reformer and crusader against untouchability.
Bajwa said that Ch. Jagjit Singh and Ch. Santokh Singh both senior Congress leaders and former minister were carrying the political legacy of their father. He said that legacy of Master Gurbanta Singh would continue to guide Congress leaders of present times.
