Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal along with Muni Sri Vinay Kumar Ji Alok releasing a book published by the Punjab Government on the Jain Acharya Sri Tulsi Ji the ninth head of Swetamber Terapanth order celebrations at Chandigarh on Wednesday.

Chandigarh, February 19, 2014: Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today paid rich tributes to the Jain Acharya Sri Tulsi Ji the ninth head of Swetamber Terapanth order during a state level function organised by the Punjab Government to mark the Birth Centenary celebrations of Acharya Tulsi Ji Maharaj.
Addressing a large gathering of people from all walks of the life especially the Jain Community disciples of Acharya ji from across the country here at Bhargave Auditorium of PGI, Badal said that the commemoration of such occasions related to our great Gurus, Saints and Seers had a profound  importance for us as it offered an opportunity to acquaint ourselves and our younger generation with our religious and social values that binds the entire humanity in one cord thereby strengthening the bonds of communal harmony. He also called upon the people to follow the path shown these spiritual and religious leaders.
Badal said that SAD-BJP government is fully committed to maintain peace, communal harmony and Brotherhood in the state. Expressing gratitude to  Saint Muni Sri Vinay Kumar Ji ‘Alok’ for providing SAD-BJP government an opportunity to pay homage to the great social reformer Acharya Sri Tulsi ji Maharaj, Mr. Badal said that Sri Tulsi ji had dedicated his entire life for the welfare of the society. His teachings also had great power to transform one's life. He said that he had great respect for all religions and creeds. The Jain Community had always given him love & affection and he would feel obliged if Muni Sri Vinay Kumar Ji Alok would assign any duty to him for serving the community, said Mr. Badal.
Speaking on the occasion Muni Sri Vinay Kumar Ji Alok said that teachings of Acharya Sri Tulsi ji lay the stress to adopt social ethics and disciplined life that could form an ideal society. He urged the people to follow the path shown by Sri Julsi Ji Maharaj to transform their lives. He also appreciated the Punjab Government for organizing the Birth Centenary celebrations of Acharya Tulsi ji.
