Chandigarh, August 21, 2021: BJP national general secretary Tarun Chugh, while greeting people on the Rakhi day, underlined that it was a festival of a bond between a brother and sister which enriches the Indian culture.


As an international wrestler, Babita Phogat tied a rakhi to Chugh at his residence today Chugh said it was only in the Hindu culture that the bond of brother and sister is celebrated in such a way.


"It not only symbolises that brothers will protect their sisters but depicts how the family culture in our society has been so valued," said Chugh.


He called upon people to make sure that our traditional cultural values are upheld and observed with devotion and affection. "Indian culture and traditions are a great asset for all of us and we must cherish and celebrate them on every given occasion", Chugh added.
