Ludhiana, August 7,2025: Aykai Hospital, in collaboration with GLODAS (Gift of Life Organ Donation Awareness Society) and SOTTO (State Organ and Tissue Transplant Organization), is all set to commemorate World Organ Donor Day on 11th August, with a vibrant cultural event dedicated to spreading awareness about organ donation.
Themed “Zindagi Di Taan – Gift of Life”, the event will highlight the life-saving potential of organ donation and its impact on society. A single brain-dead donor can save up to eight lives—a powerful message the organisers aim to bring to every citizen's heart.
The celebration will take place at Aykai Hospital, Ludhiana, starting 12:00 noon onwards, and will feature the presence of eminent personalities from the Punjabi entertainment industry and the medical field.
Gracing the occasion will be iconic actor-singer Amar Noorie and renowned Padma Shri awardee Hans Raj Hans,Member of parliament Lok Sabha Deepak Bali Advisor Punjab Tourism & Cultural Affairs ,Govt of Punjab lending their voices to this noble cause. The event will also be honored by Dr. Gagandeen Kaur, Nodal Officer, SOTTO, Punjab, who will address the audience on the importance of deceased organ donation and clarify medical and legal perspectives around brain death.
