Aykai Hospital, Ludhiana, NGO GLODAS and GNIPS School to celebrate organ donor day on Aug 13

Ludhiana, August 10, 2019: Transplant Institute of Aykai Hospital, NGO GLODAS and GNIPS School will be organising mega function to celebrate organ donor day on 13th August 2019 at Aykai Hospital.

Due to lack of awareness, there are myths and fears in peoples mind about organ donation. The aim of this day is to motivate normal human beings to pledge to donate organs after brain death, and to spread awareness about the importance of organ donation.

Binay K Jha, Chief commisioner Income Tax will grace the occasion as Chief Guest & Dr.Rajesh Kumar Bagga, Civil Surgeon Ludhiana will be the Guest of Honour. More than 40 schools will be participating in the celebrations.

On this occasion, poster making contest for the school students will be organised and prizes will be given to the winners by Chief Guest. Certificates will be awarded to the donors who came ahead to donate their organs. To support the cause of Green India, plantatation drive will also be organised by the organ donors.

Chairman Aykai hospital, President Glodas NGO & renowned Urologist and Transplant surgeon Dr Baldev Singh Aulakh said our aim at Aykai hospital is to help all kinds of organ failure patients and perform multi organ kidney, liver and heart transplant by spreading awareness about organ donation. We will do our best to motivate families of brain dead patients to donate organs. We will continue the Organ Donation Day campaign, which is celebrated every year at August 13th, and provide a great opportunity in everyone’s life to pledge to donate their precious organs.
