AWWA week celebrated at Jalandhar Cantt 

Jalandhar: August 21, 2021: AWWA week was celebrated from 10 Aug to 21 Aug 2021 at Jalandhar Cantt to commemorate the 55th Anniversary of establishment of Army Wives Welfare Association, an NGO working towards the upliftment of families of JCOs and ORs since 1966. The theme of AWWA day 2021 was Mental Health ie “Mann Swasth toh Tan Swasth”. All the activities conducted during the week were based on this theme and the same culminated in a central function, wherein Veer Naaris were felicitated and the citation for AWWA excellence was awarded to the achievers. Mrs Nithya Ponnappa, Zonal President, Vajra AWWA during her address appreciated the efforts and resilience of the families during COVID times and also motivated the families to empower themselves and keep doing the good work for the betterment and well being of whole Army fraternity. She also laid emphasis on importance of “Mental Health and Mental Happiness” which helps in making better choices in life. In the end, she reminded all the families to abide by the AWWA motto “Asha Vishwas Astha”.
