Chandigarh, May 15, 2026: Government Home Science College, Sector 10, Chandigarh, in collaboration with the Indian Pollution Control Association (IPCA), Chandigarh, organized an awareness session on Plastic Waste Management to spread awareness among students regarding environmental sustainability and responsible waste disposal practices.
The session was conducted as part of an ongoing initiative to educate students about plastic waste segregation, recycling practices, and the importance of reducing plastic pollution in daily life. The resource persons from IPCA interacted with the students and highlighted the need for collective efforts in creating a cleaner and greener environment.
The Principal of the college, Prof. Sudha Katyal, appreciated the initiative and emphasized that awareness among youth plays a vital role in building a sustainable and plastic-free future. She encouraged students to adopt eco-friendly habits and actively participate in environmental conservation activities.
