Awareness programme on “body and organ donation- ultimate gift to mankind” held

The students were sensitized about the importance of organ and body donation Ludhiana: Department of Anatomy, Dayanand Medical College & Hospital, Ludhiana organized an awareness programme on “Body and Organ Donation- Ultimate gift to mankind” for the students of Shaheed-e-Azam Sukhdev Thapar Government Girls Senior Secondary Smart School, Bharat Nagar Chowk on 19th December 2019. The programme was a sort of interactive session with the students, who had come to attend the programme. The students were sensitized about the importance of organ and body donation and it was followed by a discussion in which students actively participated. The faculty of the Anatomy department, later, showed the students human organs taken from donated bodies and showed the Anatomy museum to encourage organ donation. The session got ended with a list of various queries asked by students and the faculty satisfactorily answering their queries and doubts.
