Awareness on Plastic Waste Management at GHSC-10

Candigarh, December 11, 2025: Government Home Science College, Sector 10, Chandigarh in collaboration with the Indian Pollution Control Association, Chandigarh took a significant step towards strengthening sustainable plastic waste management on December 9.
As part of this initiative, a nukkad natak along with an awareness session on plastic waste management was organised on the college campus to sensitise students and staff about the importance of responsible disposal of plastic waste. Through interactive performances and informative discussions, students were encouraged to adopt eco-friendly habits while understanding the long-term benefits of recycling and waste reduction.
The Principal of the college, Prof. Sudha Katyal, appreciated the collaborative effort and highlighted its role in promoting environmental responsibility among students. She further emphasised the need for conscious efforts to reduce plastic usage on campus and adopt sustainable practices. This initiative marks a crucial step towards creating a cleaner, greener and more sustainable plastic-free college environment.
