AVSAR 2026 concludes at Panjab University; 100+ students shortlisted for placements
More than 100 Panjab University campus students have been shortlisted for placements during AVSAR 2026, the flagship placement drive of the Central Placement Cell (CPC), Panjab University, Chandigarh.
Chandigarh, April 9, 2026: More than 100 Panjab University campus students have been shortlisted for placements during AVSAR 2026, the flagship placement drive of the Central Placement Cell (CPC), Panjab University, Chandigarh.
The three-day drive saw participation from over 300 students drawn from more than 22 departments spanning Science, Social Sciences, Management, Technology, Law and Arts. A total of 18 companies took part, including Tynor Orthodontics Pvt. Ltd., HDFC Life, Acuity Professional, Aakash Institute, Bebo Technologies, SGGG India Pvt. Ltd., VerbiQ and Nimbus Academy. While several recruiters conducted on-campus processes, others opted for an online mode.
Among recruiters, SRH International (6 - 10 LPA), SGGG India Pvt. Ltd(7 - 8 LPA), Aakash Institute(7.25 - 9.00 LPA) , VerbIQ ( 5- 10 LPA), Tynor Orthodontics Pvt (5 -6 LPA) Ltd. domestic airlines (5 - 6 LPA), Acuity Professional (3.5 – 5 LPA), HDFC Life (3.5 - 5 LPA) shortlisted the candidates. Federal Bank is scheduled to conduct face-to-face interviews in the third week of April with salary packages ranging from Rs. 13.08 lakh to Rs. 17.22 lakh per annum.

Prof. Meena Sharma, Honorary Director, Central Placement Cell, said, “AVSAR is our flagship initiative and reflects only a segment of the university’s placement activity. Our effort through AVSAR is to ensure wider inclusion and access, especially for students who may otherwise have limited exposure to large recruiters.” CPC continues to maintain linkages with more than 500 companies, she added.
The AVSAR 2026 was held under the overall guidance of Panjab University Vice Chancellor Prof Renu Vig, Prof. Meena Sharma (Honorary Director, Central Placement Cell), along with the dedicated support of Prof. Sarbjeet Singh, Dr. Ravneet Kaur, and Dr. Rohini Sharma (Associate Directors, CPC).
