Aster DM Healthcare clinches 4 awards at 6thIndia Health and Wellness Awards for Covid Care and Innovation

Kochi: Aster DM Healthcare Ltd., a leading healthcare enterprise connected to Kerala,clinched 4 of the most coveted recognitions at the 6thIndiaHealth and Wellness Awards, instituted bythe Integrated Health and Wellbeing (IHW) Council, India's premier holistic health think tank. Shri Ramdas Athawale, hon’ble Minister of State of Social Justice & Empowerment, presented the awards to the winners during a virtual ceremony.
 
Aster DM Healthcare Limited, founded by Kerala-origin entrepreneur Azad Moopen, bagged a ‘Silver’ award in the COVID Protection Project, while Aster@Home received the award in Home Healthcare Brand category. It also won a ‘Bronze’ award in the Health Innovation category in which Aster MIMS, Kottakkal received the ‘Silver’ award. The hospitals of Aster DM operate in India and 7 other countries.
 
Shri Ramdas Athawale, hon’ble Minister of State of Social Justice & Empowerment joined the virtual event from Aurangabad, said, “COVID has increased trouble for many fellow Indians and I congratulate the winners; we will continue to fight coronavirus together.”
 
Other prominent healthcare brands from southern India include HealthCare Global Enterprises Limited, winner in the COVID Management category, YourDOST Health Solutions, winner of the ‘Gold’ award in the Mental Health Brand categoryand HCL Healthcare, winner of the Health Workplace Brand category.
 
The Special Jury Award went to The All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, and the Federation of Obstetric and Gynaecological Societies of India (FOGSI) for their multi-pronged COVID management effort and efforts to reduce anaemia for an ‘Anaemia Mukt Bharat’, respectively.

Since the initial days of the outbreak, private enterprises and people in their individual capacity have worked with equal zeal and dedication, and fought this invisible destroyer shoulder to shoulder with the government. IHW’s India Health and Wellness Awards recognises the contributions made to the country’s holistic health that we are promoting for the last 6 years,” said Mr.Kamal Narayan, CEO, IHW Council.
