Asha Chinh Welfare Society holds Traffic Awareness Quiz at BCM Arya School, Lalton

Ludhiana, January 29, 2026: Asha Chinh Welfare Society, organised a comprehensive and thought-provoking quiz-cum-workshop on ‘Traffic Etiquettes’ at BCM Arya School, Lalton, Ludhiana today. Asha Chinh, a city-based NGO, had started the initiative ARROW (Asha Chinh Road-Safety Responsibility Outreach Workshop) in 2023-24 to promote road safety awareness among children and making roads safer for everyone. The quiz-cum-workshop  on road safety was conducted by Dr. Rajinder Chawla, Chairman, Asha Chinh Welfare Society. The students participated in various mind-boggling rounds very enthusiastically displaying amazing acumen and promptness. The quiz consisted of three rounds having multiple choice questions, visual and rapid -fire rounds, etc. Students were made aware about complex traffic rules with the help of interesting videos. Students pledged to obey traffic rules by signing the pledge forms distributed by the NGO.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Chawla emphasized that life after an accident was never the same, the family members bear the brunt of a single collision all through their lives and that the only way to ensure road-safety was traffic awareness. He also informed that many such programmes are proposed to be held by the NGO in various schools and colleges across Punjab this year.
Jasvir Singh, Incharge, Traffic Education Cell, Traffic Police, Ludhiana acquainted the audience comprising more than 100 students, teachers and NGO members about traffic rules, classification of roads, traffic signals etc. The workshop proved to be very informative and beneficial for students as well as teachers/employees of  the school as it helped to empower children to make roads safer for themselves and others as well.
Kritika Seth, Principal, BCM Arya School, Lalton, Ludhiana enlightened the gathering expressing her firm belief in developing decent road behaviour, inculcating proper civic sense and discharging of duties as responsible citizens of the society to create a secure and aware society.
Trophies and certificates were distributed among the winners and participants by Dr. Rajinder Chawla, Jasvir Singh, Dr. Amit Kishore, Paras Bhatia, Dr. SB Pandhi and TP Singh. 
T-shirts bearing slogans about road safety were distributed among participants and the audience by Asha Chinh Welfare Society.
