Arpita Cancer Society and Dept of Pediatrics organise event to raise awareness for childhood cancer

Ludhiana, September 18, 2023: In association with DMC&H Dept of Pediatrics, Arpita Cancer Society hosted a remarkable musical event last night, dedicated to raising awareness for childhood cancer. The event was spearheaded by the esteemed President of Arpita Cancer Society, Rama Munjal, and brought together talented musicians and generous donors, all committed to making a difference in the lives of children battling cancer.
 
The event, held at the prestigious Guru Nanak Bhawan on 17" September 2023, was a resounding success, as attendees were treated to a mesmerizing evening of live music while contributing to a vital cause. The occasion was graced with the benign presence of Surbhi Malik(Deputy Commissioner, Ludhiana), Mandeep Singh (Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana) along with many other eminent personalities of the city.
 
Highlights of the evening included soul stirring performances by renowned artists, Rajesh Singh and Gyantika Dwivedi who generously volunteered their time and artistry to support the cause.
 
The Society President in her speech emphasised the importance of collective action in the fight against childhood cancer. Her message was clear: together, we can make a difference and offer hope to young warriors battling this devastating disease.
 
Dr Shruti Kakkar Incharge, Pediatric Oncology, DMC&H, not only elaborated on the successful and selfless journey of the foundation but also shared its upcoming ventures. She intimated the audience with the efforts that the society made to reach out to needy children beyond Punjab. The commendable endeavours during covid times were touched as well.
 
The event was attended by prominent community leaders, philanthropists and medical professionals. The shared sense of purpose and determination in the room was palpable, underscoring the significance of the cause.
