Ludhiana, September 28, 2023: MP (Rajya Sabha) from Ludhiana Sanjeev Arora has been renominated as a Member to the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Health and Family Welfare for another year.

Arora has thanked the Vice-President and Chairman Rajya Sabha, Jagdeep Dhankhar and his party leadership for recommending his name or extending his tenure as a Member to the Standing Committee on Health and Family Welfare. In a statement here today, he said he is thankful for showing their faith in his capabilities for working towards betterment of health facilities in the Country.

He added the government is committed to 100 per cent eradication of TB from the country.

Arora who is also the vice president of DMCH Managing Society, Ludhiana, has always been taking initiative to work for the suffering humanity and needy people. Due to his initiative, about one and a half years old Kanav Jangra, a resident of New Delhi was able to get treatment worth Rs.17.50 crore (2.1 million USD). The huge amount for Kanav’s treatment was got collected only after a massive campaign for donation launched by city-based NGOs Krishna Pran Breast Cancer Charitable Trust and Samvedna Trust on Arora’s initiative.

City-based NGO Krishna Pran Breast Cancer Charitable Trust is being run by Arora over the years. This NGO in the month of October every year organizes various activities for creating awareness against breast cancer. Likewise, in previous years, activities for breast cancer awareness will also be organized this year also, said Arora. It may be mentioned here that the month of October is known for Breast Cancer Awareness month. In Krishna Breast Cancer Charitable Trust more than 250 cancer patients have been treated Free of Cost till date.

Arora has also worked a lot to ensure affordable health care for all. He has taken up this matter at almost every platform. He pointed out that health care has become very costly these days, resulting to which it is very difficult for a common man to bear the cost. It is the responsibility of all stake holders related to health to make healthcare affordable for all, he opined.
