Army Day celebrations at Ferozepur

Ferozepur: Golden Arrow Division celebrated the Army Day with fervour and pride.  In an event organised in a military fashion, at Capt Sundar Singh Stadium, Ferozepur, Army showcased its myriad cultures and traditions.  Over 500 school children, government and civil dignitaries apart from Army personnels and their families were able to partake in the celebration enthusiastically.
 
The audience was enthralled by the live performance of Military Bands, which played the martial tunes and enthused the crowd with their majestic display and skills.  The audience also witnessed soldierly skills and martial arts prowess through Tent Pegging, Mallakhamb and Kalaripayattu. An ‘Information Cell’, disseminating information as part of motivation for the youth to join the Indian Army was also established.
 
The event kindled the pride and patriotic fervour amongst all, especially the school children.  The event culminated with Major General Amit Loomba, General Officer Commanding, the Golden Arrow Division, felicitating the participants and conveying his best wishes to the audience.
